Career growth of an assistant in RBI takes place after a two-year service (minimum) as a clerk with a JAIIB and CAIIB diploma conducted by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) is must with graduate/post graduate degree.

RBI Assistant Interview

After you clear the Preliminary & Main Exam of the RBI Assistant, you will then be called for an Interview. where the professional skills and overall knowledge of the candidate is tested. Final selection of the candidate depends on how well he/she performs in the Interview Process.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below. Candidate who are not proficient in the official/ Local Language will be disqualified.
